After five years with the Navajo, she leaves to confront each man in turn. Meeting James a US Marshal she finds in him an understanding friend who covers her back as she gets her vengeance.

When a hired killer hunts down James, Maria returns the favour to help. The situation changes course when a larger plot is uncovered that brings in Chris a Texas Ranger and Pinkerton Agent. Chris is a man from Maria's past, before her husband died, which brings back long lost memories.

This is the First book in a trilogy and is a classic tale of good versus evil.
